Chess game tactics
When you play a chess game against someone who is better than you are at the game you will have to use tactics that will help you to cause a surprise result. Begin paying fast especially if your opponent is a slow steady type of player and try to unnerve them. Another chess tactic is to play very slowly if the opponent plays fast as this will really annoy them.
Distraction works well too and can cause your opponent to misjudge the position. Drop a chess piece, a queen perhaps, on the floor or knock against the chess board and chess clock.
Pretend you have a cold and blow your nose with gusto. Humming is great too and is quite annoying. If your opponent shows signs of annoyance at your initial antics then you are succeeding and should up the ante. If your opponent makes a mistake then you should immediately go to serious mode and be ruthless in closing the game out in your favor. Obviously you should not let them distract you in any way. You will, after all be an expert in the art of disruption so it should be easy to ignore these petty antics. All of the above is very unsporting and only a very few people will avail of tactics such as these but suffice to say I have met players who have utilized some of these tactics. I like to win fairly and squarely and would not stoop to this low level.
