Installing a Gas Heater

You may sometimes find that you want to install a heater into a new room. Perhaps it has been newly built or it was part of an older building plan. In any case, if you’re looking into heating for one room only there are plenty of options to consider. If you already have, or are in an area where natural gas is piped to homes, you will most likely consider installing a natural gas space heater.

They are perfect in many ways, as there are many different types of gas heaters that can be used, including single gas heating units that are attached to the walls, and of course the larger central heating systems.  Some gas heaters resemble a small wood heater, with a clear window at the front and the semblance of a log or a flame burning. Other gas heaters are more enclosed units.

An improperly installed gas heating unit can cause problems.  One thing to note is that there are regulations in place in many areas stating that gas heaters must be installed by a qualified technician.  So, if you are thinking of installing your new gas heater yourself make sure you check out the regulations concerning this in your area before going ahead with the project.
