Is Trying To Making Money With Google A Waste Of Time?

The hope of many is to make a substantial income online from a personal web page or blog and earn a royalty fee for advertising from Google. However, hopes are dashed in the early stages of the game, with empty promises from Google Adsense.  Don’t waste your time and submit your site to Google. Making money with Google is a hit and miss adventure, with little to show for your effort. Though the promises are big, the payout is small and many web site owners dump their membership with the Google Adsense program after just a few uneventful months. Don’t get me wrong anyone can make money online but if you are looking for an easy fast way to get rich, this is not it. It take months and years of hard work but it is worth it in the end.

When you put together your web page, Google will ask you to fill out a form that describes the product, service or information you are providing, and then refer your site to sponsors with a similar keyword list. If you have a travel site to share, then you will be referred to travel and tourism sites with a promise of a percentage of the volume of tours they sell. However, this is a very small window of opportunity for the Google Adsense to bring you any business, and there are restrictions attached that you may not include other advertisers without Google’s permission.

If Google assigns your site with general interest ads such as “making money online” or “earn money by taking surveys”, you will have a better chance of receiving a Google check at the end of the month. However, the amount is usually scant and sometimes nothing at all. The Google Adsense membership may be practical for niche marketing and could do well with a web site that captures a wide readership, however, for the average web site, your best bet is to sell your own marketing space or sign up your own affiliates once you have established a presence online.

If you take the time to read the blogs and review sites for Google Adsense subscribers, you will find that the honest people claim a profit at around $200 a month at best. If your site is picking up speed and attracting a lot of traffic, you can dispense with the minor pay from Google and strike out on your own with a creative and unrestrictive marketing campaign.
