Natural Remedies For Black Mold
I don’t know about you, but I’m not fond of breathing in toxic chemicals. So when it comes to things like natural remedies for black mold, I’m all for it. Of course, I know that bleaching is a common and cheap solution for removing pesky mold, however my lungs start burning and I tend to stop breathing when I’m around bleach products.
So, lately I’ve found myself avoiding anything that may damage my body (hey we only have one!) and use products that are not only safe on my lungs, but also safer for the environment.
Of course we’ve all heard that sunlight is one of the best solutions for mold removal that Mother Nature has to offer. If you have clothing that has been exposed to mold, you may want to try rubbing or brushing the affected area and then washing in a mixture of a chemical-free laundry detergent or soap and water. Then simply hang on the line to dry. You can also do this with small rugs that have been exposed to mold.
For items that cannot be moved outdoors, you might want to try a solution of lemon juice and salt. Just be sure to test the mixture in a hidden area first. Once you’ve applied the mixture, rinse and then dry the problem area.
Please keep in mind that not every product on the market is made with chemicals. There are now some great products designed to remove black mold that are natural and work just as well as many home remedies for black mold removal.
